Overall, my designs effectively convey my theme, adolescent victims of sexual assault, harassment, and violence, as it brings you along a series of events reflecting real-life notions of the theme. I convey the action of sexual assault, the effect of sexual assault, and the positive progression after the occurrence(s). All the compositions consist of the colours black, white and red not only for coherency but also to play into the narrative of the design. In the first design, the only red feature is the no symbol to highlight the initial wrong acts occurring. The second design mainly uses red to represent the overwhelming feeling when one is trying to understand the why's and how's of the problem and the stuck feeling victims fall into. The red is then used for Medusa in the last design to show one gaining control of their feelings and gaining the power to overcome them. The designs are mostly largely placed in the center of the screen to emphasize the urgency of this issue and really bring your awareness to the image. I tried to use simple and repetitive content to better appeal to audiences of all ages and for them to better understand the connection of the story. I hope that through my designs someone can connect with the narrative of the compositions and lead them to follow the path of overcoming their tragedy and tell their story. No one should feel alone because you are not.
